Gilbert Vandergriff enters two thousand Acres of land in Hamilton on Walden's Ridge of Cumberland Mountain and on the waters of north Chiccamogga Creek. Beginning on a Spruce pine and Holly tree on the west bank of the Rock House Creek, and from thence four hundred poles down the said creek and from thence a straight line to big Chiccamogga Creek thence up the same to the mouth of the branch running from Dickens Cabin from the branch to the Rock house on the same creek of the Beginning, thence down the creek to the Beginning so as to include 2000 acres.

Location received & filed and entry made 26th April 1842

Hamilton County

William C. Hixson and Washington Hixson enters five thousand Acres of land on Wallens ridge of Cumberland Mountain in said County. Beginning where Cozby's Trace crosses North Chiccamogga Creek, thence up the Creek and to Hawkins line, thence with his lines Southeastwardly. Thence North eastwardly, thence Northwestwardly to the beginning so as to include 5000 acres of unappropriated lands as nearly as the boundaries will admit of.

George Levi Enters five hundred acres of land in Hamilton County Tennessee. Beginning on two white oaks & a Hickory the corner of the big Survey between John Rogers and himself, it being a twenty thousand acre Survey of Charles McClung running thence North Easterly to the corner of Cozby's land near the standing rocks thence North Westwardly to the top bluff of the Mountain thence with said bluff Southwestwardly to Van De Griffs Gap, thence to the Beginning. Excluding all prior legal entries.
